Who can apply to Summer Academy?

Summer Academy is open to high school students entering grades 9–12. No previous design experience is necessary. There is no such thing as a typical student for us. Our students are aspiring artists, architects, interior designers, engineers, industrial designers, computer game creators, landscape designers, and more. Please note that international students must secure their own visa for this program.

Dates and Tuition

July 8–August 2, 2019

Tuition is $1,800. Lunch, materials and transportation to field trips are included.

Scholarship Opportunities

Application Deadline: Monday, June 3.

A limited number of full and partial scholarships are available based on financial need and through the Robert Houseman Fund, a gift to the BAC, established to promote diversity in the design professions.

Students who qualify are encouraged to apply. Scholarship applicants must fulfill all application requirements, include a letter of recommendation from a teacher or guidance counselor, and complete the Summer Academy Application Form. Students applying for scholarships do not need to submit tuition payment with their registration.
